What Happens When You Seed Cycle For 90 Days

Small daily habits can make a difference. Here’s what three months of seed cycling may look like for your hormones and cycle.

One of the most common questions we get is “how long does seed cycling take to work?” And with any new habit or protocol, we get it. When you’re dealing with irregular cycles, cramps and bloating, breast tenderness, or skin that flares up like clockwork every month, you want to know when you might notice a difference. The honest answer is that seed cycling isn’t an overnight fix (nothing worthwhile for your hormones is!). But that doesn’t mean you have to wait three months to see the first signs of progress.

We invested in an independent, third-party clinical study through Citruslabs to find out what happens when you seed cycle consistently for three months. Forty participants, ages 18-45, using our Phase 1 and Phase 2 blends daily. And the results told a pretty clear story. Today, we’re breaking down what participants reported, month by month.

Month 1: laying the foundation

So, what does the first month look like? It's mostly about consistency. You’re incorporating your seeds (we have plenty of recipe inspo to get you started), your body is receiving nutrients it may have been missing (zinc, selenium, magnesium, lignans, vitamin E, omega-3s), and the groundwork is being set for hormonal shifts that haven’t fully materialized yet.

Some people notice subtle things in the first month. Maybe digestion feels a little smoother (flaxseeds are a fiber powerhouse, after all). Maybe sleep is slightly better. Maybe you just feel like you’re doing something intentional for your body every day, and that in itself shifts how you approach the rest of your meals and habits.

But for most people, month one is not where the big ‘aha’ moment happens. And that’s okay. Your hormones operate on a cycle, and meaningful change takes at least one full cycle to start showing up. The seeds are working; your body just needs a little time to respond.

Month 2: things start to shift

Good news! In our clinical study, significant improvements were already showing up by month two. Participants were reporting noticeable changes in the severity of their PMS, the intensity of their cramps, and how much their symptoms were interfering with daily life. Win, win, win.

Speaking of PMS, specifically, we found that symptoms interfering with productivity improved by 63% over the course of the study. Yes, 63%! That’s not just a percentage on a page, that’s the difference between losing days every month and being able to show up for your life during your luteal phase.

Fatigue was another area that started shifting meaningfully around month two. Both the frequency and severity of fatigue improved by over 50%. If you’ve ever felt like the second half of your cycle drains you in a way the first half doesn’t, that kind of improvement is hard to overstate.

Ultimately, month two is typically when the pattern starts clicking. You notice that the week before your period didn’t hit as hard as usual. That your energy didn’t completely tank. That the bloating was less or your skin didn’t break out the way it normally does. It’s not perfection, but it’s a noticeable shift. And noticing it is what keeps you going into month three.

Month 3: the full picture comes into focus

By the end of three months, the clinical data speaks for itself:

80% reported less breast tenderness
80% reported less severe menstrual pain
77% reported less severe cramps
75% reported PMS was less severe
72% reported improved digestion
77% said they’d recommend beeya to friends and family

Beyond those headline numbers, there were improvements across symptoms we don’t always talk about. Period heaviness improved by 48%. Frequency of hormonal acne improved by 31%. Frequency of low libido improved by 32%. These aren’t the symptoms that usually make the front page, but for anyone dealing with them, they matter enormously.

Three months is also when the cumulative effect of consistent nutrition becomes most apparent. Think about it this way: your body has had three full cycles of receiving...

  1. Targeted nutrients at the right time
  2. Lignans to support estrogen metabolism during the follicular phase
  3. Zinc and selenium to nourish progesterone during the luteal phase
  4. Fiber to feed your gut microbiome and help your body efficiently eliminate used hormones

All proof that consistency compounds.

The easiest habit

Seed cycling works because it provides those resources in a rhythm that matches your cycle’s own rhythm. But—and not to sound like a broken record—it only works if you’re doing it consistently. Sporadically adding seeds to a smoothie once or twice a week is a different thing entirely from showing up with a daily scoop of the right blend at the right phase. The study results came from daily use over 90 days.

And here’s the best part: it’s just one scoop a day. That’s it. And you can literally add them to breakfast, lunch, dinner, or your snacks/dessert. It’s not a complicated supplement stack or a restrictive diet or an overhaul of your routine! It’s one small, daily habit layered into the meals you’re already eating (yogurt, smoothies, oats, salads, toast, etc.). The simplicity is what makes the consistency possible.

What we hear from our community

The clinical data tells one story, but the messages in our inbox tell another version of the same thing. Women who say their cramps went from debilitating to manageable after a couple of months. Women who stopped dreading the week before their period. Women whose skin cleared up or whose energy leveled out or who finally felt like their cycle wasn’t running their life anymore.

Ready to start your 90 days?

If you’ve been on the fence or if you tried seed cycling for a few weeks and fell off, consider this your sign to commit to the full three months. And if you want to make it as easy as possible, our Phase 1 + Phase 2 blends do (most of) the legwork for you.

We can’t wait to hear how month three feels!
