Blueberry Chia Jam
A naturally sweet jam packed with juicy berries and fiber-rich chia seeds.
Once you make homemade chia jam, it’s hard to go back to the store-bought version.
This Blueberry Chia Jam is naturally sweetened, packed with juicy wild blueberries, and thickened with chia seeds instead of loads of sugar. And it comes together in minutes. You can use it all week long too—on your toasts, in your oatmeal, smoothies, etc.
We also love to add it to our beeya seed cycling blends for even more support for gut health, estrogen, progesterone, and blood sugar.
Makes: 1 jar
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Ingredients:
- 2 cups frozen wild blueberries
- 2 Tbsp honey (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 Tbsp chia seeds
Enjoy with:
- Toast
- Yogurt
- beeya seed cycling blends
- Ice cream
Instructions:
- Combine: Add blueberries, honey, lemon juice, and chia seeds to a small saucepan over medium heat.
- Simmer: Stir frequently and cook for about 5 minutes, until the berries break down and become juicy.
- Mash: Use a fork to mash the berries further if desired, or leave chunky. Continue simmering for another 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Cool: Remove from heat and allow to cool.
- Store: Transfer to a clean jar and store in the fridge. We love it on toast or over yogurt with beeya seed cycling blends.
