If you grew up loving chocolate magic shell, get ready for a fun new twist—strawberry magic shell! This three-ingredient recipe is the easiest way to make any bowl of ice cream feel extra special. As soon as it hits the cold ice cream, it hardens into a crisp, sweet shell that cracks with every bite.
But this isn’t just about nostalgia—it’s about feeling good, too. We love finding small ways to add extra nourishment to our favorite treats, and this recipe is the perfect example. The freeze-dried strawberries bring in natural antioxidants and vitamin C, while adding a pop of real strawberry flavor. And of course, we’re topping ours with beeya’s seed cycling blends for a little extra cycle support.
Trust us—you need to try this now, and you’ll be hooked all summer long.

Vanilla Protein Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk of choice
- ⅔ cup cottage cheese
- 2 Tbsp vanilla protein powder (we used Truvani)
- 1 tsp grass-fed gelatin
- 3 Tbsp maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
- Bloom the gelatin with a splash of milk, then microwave for about 10 seconds until melted/dissolved.
- Add all ingredients to a blender (or use an immersion blender) and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a Ninja CREAMi pint and freeze for at least 12 hours.
- When ready, let the pint thaw for about 15 minutes. Spin on the light ice cream function, then do one re-spin (no extra liquid needed).
- Scoop into a bowl and drizzle with your strawberry magic shell!
Alternative Method (No Ice Cream Maker): Pour the blended mixture into ice cube trays and freeze until solid. Blend the frozen cubes with a splash of milk until creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
