Lemony Matcha Spirulina Bars Recipe
Tired of chocolate treats? Try these surprisingly bright and energizing bars!
Serves: 6 bars
Prep time: 8 mins + chill time
Ingredients:
- 3 scoops beeya
- 1/3 cup raw cashews
- 1/3 cup raw macadamia
- 3 fresh dates
- 1 Tbsp honey
- ½ lemon, juiced and zested
- 2 Tbsp coconut oil, melted
- 1 tsp matcha powder
- 1/2 tsp spirulina
- a pinch of sea salt
- 3 Tbsp dried coconut
Steps:
- Toss everything except for the coconut into a food processor and mix until it all comes together into a ball.
- Press the mixture out into a parchment paper lined form. Then sprinkle the coconut over top and press gently into the top. Dust with more matcha if desired.
- Place the bars into the freezer until firm. They are best kept in the freezer once firm.
